We have contacted the Controller - Mining and International Divisions and have been advised that no changes from current prices are antici pated. Also, at those locations at which reductions in fibre prices are made in accordance with agreements between the Asbestos Fibre Division and the using division, it is anticipated that the present agreements will remain in effect. Accordingly, unless advised of revisions to these agreements by your division controller, the effect (depending on whether based on receipts or usage) of the present agreements is to be taken into consideration in establishing standard unit costs for own-make asbestos fibre and for products containing fibre. At U. S. locations, the currently prescribed exchange rate of .925 should be used to convert fibre prices and fibre price reduction amounts in Canadian dollars to U.
