This m arket represents about $46,000,000. with approxim ately 113,000 tons of p roducts, ranging fro m $125.00 a ton to S 200.00 a ton. It is my feeling that if we can modify K ilnotse fo r in c r e a s e d N. R. C. fa c to r, we may be able to extend this sam e developm ent into a sue cessful fire rated fire proofing m aterial that can be easily applied direct to surfaces requiring 1 to 4 hour fire ratings. The requirem ents for column and ceiling tire proofing will vary, depending upon individual design and code re qu irem en ts, but a re in the 1 to 4 hour category. The surface designs a r e many and varied and would re q u ire an extensive analysis p rio r to com m itm ent in p ro duct development, but 1 feel that we have an opportunity here that certainly m erits a deeper review. Zam recommending that you give this your consideration as early as possible, so that further steps can-be taken to initiate product development to fulfill this opportunity and need.
