Below is an old email exchange I had with Rob Schnatter and Otto Wong about the scope of work for a contract extension with Fudan. (I seemed to have lost Rob's note but he was OK with the current scope of work.) Lorraine told me that the need was created because the contract between UCHSC and Fudan only covered the molecular epi and disease progression protocols. Who was going to interview the control subjects or NHLs? Apparently the UCHSC/Fudan contract did not cover travel expenses to SHS annual meetings either. That's what I know. I looked over Fudan's invoice carefully and agree with you that all the items are necessary to support the CC study. In terms of any possible additions, I would suggest the following: 1) Perhaps a little bit more time for the "data handler." I can anticipate that more time will be needed in handling data in 2007. 2) Make sure that both Professor Fu and Professor Liang have the necessary funds to travel to the US for a final meeting in 2007. Thank you for letting me know that API will be working on our contract amendment in October. I look forward to receiving it.
