This brings up additional t^flie on our prototype registration, However, they also mentionried that they are concerned about their future of phenolics from an environmental standpoint. Sterling Drug has supposedly advised them not to consider phenolic in future products. This environmental issue seems to be the next issue we have to address ourselves to at Lehn & Fink and for that matter, in all of the biocide'industry. Therefore, I am requesting that R&D put together a formal presentation together on the Human and Environmental Safety of Santophen I , to be presented to Lehn & Fink and possibly sent to our I/I customers. A suggested outline.of presentation would be: I. EPA Registration Data Studies we have done. Results. - Studies that have to be done. Timetable. II. Environmental Issues WGK S-I complex - effluent. - In the environment: o Biodegradability of S-I o Aquatic toxicity o Bio-concentration/accumulation * o Dioxins??? o Etc. III.
