The HON is expected to be approximately 1,000 pages long and is available through EPA's electronic bulletin or through EPA directly. Copies will also be available for interested Panel members through CMA. Comments on the HON will be required 90 days after its publication in the Federal Register. A DC law firm, Latham and Watkins, has Indicated a willingness to provide a synopsis of the HON for use by CHEMSTAR Panels. We believe that such a synopsis may facilitate the Panel's efforts in commenting. Those CHEMSTAR Panels which are interested in a synopsis will jointly fund Latham and Watkins' effort. At this time, we are estimating a total cost of $10,000 to $15,000 for the synopsis. Obviously, the cost to each Panel will be determined by the number of Panels that participate. If the Panel is interested, please let me know so that I can inform Bob Ondocsin, who is serving as a facilitator between CHEMSTAR and Latham and Watkins.
