These are: .1. Permanente P l a n t P l a s t i c Gun Cement - 2 . 5 % by w e i g h t o f a s b e s t o s fibers. 2. Permanente P l a n t P l a s t i c Cement - 1.0% by w e i g h t o f a s b e s t o s f i b e r s . 3. Cushenbury P l a n t P l a s t i c Gun Cement - 2 . 1 % by weight of a s b e s t o s fibers. These th ree cements a re u t i l i z e d by the c o n s t r u c t i o n trade f o r cement p l a s t e r (stu c co ) p r i n c i p a l l y a p p l i e d to e x t e r i o r w a l l s of homes, a p a r t ments, etc. The P l a s t i c Gun cements are a p p l i e d by machine ( p l a s t e r g u n ) ; wherea s, P l a s t i c cement i s a p p l i e d m a n u a l l y . The cements ar e used wi th between k to 5 p a r t s by volume of c le a n p l a s t e r sand and water to produce a co h e siv e , workable mix. A l l p l a s t e r is machine mixed. There can be c o n s i d e r a b l e a i r - b o r n e d u s t i n g in the v i c i n i t y of the mixer as the bags of cement are broken and emptied in to the hopper of the mixer. As the sand and cement are mixed, p r i o r to the a d d i t i o n of the water, there is d u st in g , a ls o . These c o n d it io n s are our concern. The cements are e s s e n t i a l l y type II sta ndard p o r t la n d cement to which several percents of mineral p l a s t i c i z i n g and a i r - e n t r a i n i n g agents are added, p lu s the small p e r c e n t s o f a s b e s t o s f i b e r noted. The cements a r e a p p r o x i m a t e l y 9*+ to 96% t y p e I I ( s t a n d a r d ) p o r t l a n d cement. What o th er i n f o r m a t i o n is needed, Jim?
