Data About Gas Station Leaks
I'm working on a story about a gas station in Alexandria, Va., that leaked 5,600 gallons of petroleum into the ground from an underground storage tank, and I was hoping to put this particular leak into some kind of context. I was wondering if your Toxics Release Inventory might have data about other leaking underground petroleum tanks in Virginia and in the U.S.
My deadline is pretty open on this because I'm still collecting information to pitch the story to my editor. More than anything else, I was hoping to chat with somebody about what kind of data I can get from your website and how to access it.
