Sun City will prepare the specifications for the Cadmium Baghouse asbestos abatement of transite. Included in the specifications will be the Corporate Safety Contractor requirements. A MSDS for the cadmium dust will also be included. The contractor walk through is scheduled for 10am on Tuesday 11th. He will be requesting that the contractor bids are submitted by Friday 14th. You are designated as the project manager. I will assist in the technical aspects of the abatement. Sun City will prepare the 10 day notification for my signature. Providing it is sent out tomorrow, the 10 day working notification criteria will be met for a start day of January 24lh. Should we run into a snag, I will need to notify the State 24 hours prior to the start day. Waste disposal, associated with the abatement, is to be handled by ASARCO. Language for the contract addendum should include: As, Cd, Pb biological monitoring pre and post abatement. As, Cd. Pb training for contractor employees in addition to our site orientation. Asarco will perform As, Cd, Pb air monitoring if the Contractor in the event they are unable to perform this function. If you would like me to write the specific language for the contract as an addendum when you put the OLR in, please let me know.
