NEWPORT COST REDUCTION 1982-1986
Attached are five-year cost reduction programs identified for the Newport Site totaling $2.6MM. included are two programs underway at Jackson Lab (Low Cost Beta CPC, Sulfuric Acid in SSE). This list has been reviewed with J. L. Deming and W. J. Lawrence. It does not include plant cost reductions resulting from anti cipated productivity studies. Production areas at Newport are putting together their own objectives for 1982 for an October review. Additional cost reduction items requiring technical re sources may be generated.
