Also included is some additional information which might be helpful (JKE-3-77 and CAR 77086 - 77097 Job Instructions). No modifications were required to the pumps (stuffing boxes, etc.). The primary reason for selecting tandem seals over double seals (except on PC1-H302 and -303 Nash vacuum compressors) was to prevent any seal buffer fluid (water) from leaking into the process. We currently have all the seals in operation except on PC1-H302 and -303 Nash compressors and Z36-G103A & B VCM vaporizer pumps (G103A & B installa tion scheduled for completion prior to April 1, 1977 and H302/303 prior to June 15, 1977).
