I would appreciate if we could reschedule the brief for Sept 18th or 19th (Thursday or Friday). If not possible, I understand and can work to get the correct people for the brief. For information, I know the original request was for Dr. Montgomery to brief Fire Fighting Foam specification. Naval Research Lab does not oversee or own the foam specification for the fleet, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the owner of the specification. It wasn't until Dr. Montgomery's team began doing research for the brief that they realized NAVSEA was the lead on the specification. Naval Research Lab personnel will accompany the NAVSEA briefer to discuss any technical or scientific questions raised, but NAVSEA will be the lead on the specification. NAVSEA personnel work on Washington Naval Yard and many will be part of the day's events to remember the lost personnel. Please let me know if a reschedule is possible.
