No. That week we are hosting all of the western states departments of Ag. It would need to be another week.

Hi Scott,
Would first full week of August work? Rebecca Perrin reminded me that WASDA will be held in SLC that week.

Hi Scott,
Thank you for reaching out. Generally, our smart sector meetings include representatives from producers (ie: wheat growers), associations (ie: Farm Bureau), NGO (ie: Sierra Club), food production (ie: flour mills/breweries), state agencies (UT Department of Ag and Food).
The agenda is designed to be a dialogue between the ag and food production industry and the EPA around the topics of enforcement, regulation and environmental policy.
We are excited to hear from the industries in Utah.
Thanks,

Patrick, I will be the point of contact for our participation in these events.
We don't specifically have a time when all of the Agriculture and Food industries are gathered, but are happy to work with you to schedule some things.
I am happy to provide some suggestions for participants if you can give me a little bit better understanding of the agenda and who has participated in other meetings. It would not be difficult to get together representatives from the various commodity groups and industry associations.
I look forward to working with you on these forums.

Hi LuAnn, Scott and Jay,
Alan Matheson shared your name with me.
EPA Region 8 will host a series of forums to interact and dialogue with industry reps and stakeholder groups representing key sectors of the economy in the states of CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, and WY. These forums will resemble the oil and gas round table held in Denver in February (https://www,ogi,com/aTticles/2018/03/epa-holds-2-days-of-discussions-indenver-about-oH-and-gas-issues.httni).
Forum goals include fostering a better understanding among EPA personnel of industry business models and best practices in environmental protection, and providing an opportunity for industry participants to learn about EPA's regulatory processes.
Region 8 Smart Sectors is partnering with trade associations and industries that represent the engine of the Region's economy and provide significant opportunities for environmental impact. Additional sectors may be added over time.
Region 8 Special Emphasis Sectors Include:
Agriculture and food/beverage production
Mining
Outdoor Recreation/Tourism
May 1please ask three things from you:
3. Name of the staff in your office with whom we should coordinate your organization's participation in tliese events.
2. A time in the coming months when vour industry is gathered and could engage in a dialogue wi th the EPA.
.3. Your suggestions for participants at these events
