Pelot Date: May 9, 1974 SUBJECT: VCL TOXICITY EXPENSES It has been decided that all expenses incurred in connection with the VCL Toxicity Program be charged to the various plants and/ or departments in the normal accounting manner. It will be necessary, however, to report to the Cleveland Office (to R. F. Zunt D/5454) best estimates of the various expenses incurred each month. The first re port will be for the first four months of 1974 and is due in Cleveland no later than May 31, 1974. Future reports will be submitted monthly by the 20th of the following month. Types of expenses (directly related to this program) to be included and itemized separately are as follows: Special working clothing Dust masks & respirators Miscellaneous supplies (A/C 2) Maintenance materials (A/C 19) Special lab tests X-rays Special doctors fees Legal fees Consultants Outside testing Toxicity tests Minor alterations to equipment (A/C 48) (Originated costs) Equipment rental Support studies - SPI, MCA, etc. Special grants "Code Zero" project costs at ITC, ATC, and Brecksville (D/8535) The following expenses will be excluded: Normal type work clothing Travel expense Telephone & Telegraph Employees wages, salaries, & employee benefits Capital items Maintenance labor & overhead (A/C 36 & 58) Public relation costs Other allocated costs Qj (O h*4 O O (cont1d.) 1- I Unusual type expenses such as rental, consultants, support studies, etc., require approval by EA's or GPO's. It is permissi ble to issue GPO's to accumulate any special costs but it will be necessary to indicate department and account number to be charged. Any questions should be referred to R. F. Zunt.
