DeBernardi Date March 27, 1978 subject Additional ASU Aeration The following criteria have been met for the subject AFE. 1) The project cost of $43,000 is based on a plant definitive estimate and includes an escalation allowance. 2) Funds will be committed for this project immediately after approval. 3) The expense associated with this project is $1150 for sales tax. 4) The project completion is estimated to be three months after AFE approval. 5) This project will not significantly affect plant operating costs. Plant experience since June, 1977 has shown that with adequate mixing in the ASU, a uniform feed composition is not critical to maintaining overall system performance. Based upon this experience and upon certain operational changes in the main plant, it was concluded that the three aerators which were temporarily relocated from the equalization basin to the ASU do not need to be replaced at this time. Funds for the replacement of these aerators were included in the budget estimate for this project.
