In the opinion of our laboratory these are too few fibers for good statistics since the concentration normally encountered in industrial hygiene practice is in the vicinity of 5 fibers per milliliter.

Dear Mr. Whiteside:
This is a follow-up report on ray November 1, 1973 report regarding the above subject. At this time we would enter the following report.
*
On November 12, 1973 had to revert to our pre October 1973 Joint Compound formulation. This means our bag products once again contain asbestos fibers.
This change is due to poor customer acceptance of our revised product. We have had to recall many shipments of material that is asbestos free and replace it with the asbestos formula. At this time we are working on a formula correction and would expect to have an Improved asbestos free product on the market in the near future.
We have also reverted to our pre October 1, 1973 procedures to protect our employees from asbestos fiber exposure. It is important that we have the results of your Departments tests of 9/26/73 and 10/26/73 so we can determine if our protective measures are adequate.
Our Permanent Engineering and Administrative controls is still on schedule and no problems are anticipated in this regard.
If you or your staff require further information, please advise.
Very truly yours,
GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORP. ' (/(Cct'-A.
