Pulleys In the premium line are either precision adjusted or replaced. The Standard pulleys are checked to insure they run true and that wear Is not excessive. While the housing of the Standard unitwill be rated as in fair or good condition, only those In excellent condition are used In the premium line. Professional Quality alternators include all new bearings that meet OEM specifications. These items may be new or re-processed In the Standard line. ___ - ' The Standard rotor and stator assembly is checked electrically ar^f black coated if required. Premium line items are checked for proper matching of rotor to stator. Maximum amperage output is checked inducting a test for mid-range output and at lower RPM's. The rotors are pre-heated and rotted through a high quality varnish, then baked to insure maximum bonding of the rotor wire assembly. The rotor shaft Is Inspected and replaced if required. The slalor is dipped In a polyurethene insulating vamlsh. The rectifier assembly Is checked electrically. The Standard line item tolerances are wider than those for the premium line. The premium rectifier Is matched to the proper rotor and stator to insure maximum service life. Brushes and springs in the Standard unit may be new or re-processed if brush wear does not exceed 50%. Ail new brushes and springs are used in the Professional Quality unit Diode and regulator items are tested and reprocessed In both units.
