SUBJECT: Oil Treated Masonry Fill
Confirming our conversation of July 13, please Instruct your Plant Managers to take the following precautions when producing Masonry Fill from oil-treated Libby #4:
1. Limit temperature in bagging hopper to a maximum of 220F
2. Store the finished product in an isolated area where damage will be minimal in case of fire. Store in sprinkled area if available.
3. Store pallets (each stack) with minimum of 6" air space on all sides.
4. For plants that stretch wrap, wrap just prior to loading - not as material is produced. Check for hot bags on each pallet prior to wrapping.
