SUBJECT QUALITY PROBLEMS - Non-Asbestos Premix Dual Purpose Joint Compound As I discussed with you by telephone from Los Angeles, last week Joe Lafayette was dispatched to Southern Californio, to investigate the quality problems related to the production of Non-Asbestos Premix Dual Purpose Joint Compound products. Attached hereto, you will find a copy of Joe Lafayette's findings, conclusions and recommendations. At best it seems clear that we do not have a product which should be released for sale to our customers.' We have received a number of complaints in both Northern and Central California, regarding this product, which is causing a question in the customers mind as to our future credibility. If, in your opinion, this product is not clearly free from defects then we should pull the product entirely from our line until such time as sufficient and adequate field testing has been accomplished.
