Our discussions ranged from building bridges between case studies, increasing acceptance of the use of NAMs by risk assessors and managers, and use of NAMs for exposure analysis. Presentations included updates on specific case studies, with discussion of how these will move forward. We are working to compile and share notes from the workshop, but in the meantime we wanted to send out some follow up action items that came out of our discussions. 1. Teleconferences: We will continue to hold teleconferences every 6-8 weeks to discuss progress on case studies and other action items, and build toward strengthening collaborations on current and future case studies. Please confirm that we have the correct members from your organization on our email contact list. 2. Case study leads: Please share updates for your case study by November 27th. Send updates to Maureen Gwinn (gwinn.n1aureen@ep3.gov) for compilation. 3. Need for Communication strategy: Tina Bahadori will lead a workgroup on discussions of what is needed for a communication strategy to increase acceptance for the use of NAMs in risk assessment and regulation. Workgroup members currently include Tina, Mike Rasenberg, Rusty Thomas and Maureen Gwinn. Update to be given at next teleconference, likely sometime in January.
