PROJECT Summary: Be brief--200 word minimum (Include Objective, Approach. Current Plain and/or Progress) Rats and mice of both sexes were exposed to 50, 250, or 1000 ppm VCM or to 55 ppm VDM 6 hrs/day, 5 days/week for their lifetimes in closed inhalation chambers. Methods employed to determine toxicity of the compounds included chromatographic procedures, spectroscopy, histology, pathology, hematology, immunological techniques and cytogenic analyses.
The project is continuing to establish VCM and VDM response profiles for use in high to low dose, animal to human extrapolation studies.
