The 128 com panies reporting in 1978 were 58 less than the 186 com panies reporting In 1977. Thetotal number of employees, the hours of exposure e nd the number of fatalities were lower in 1978 than In 1977. The Accident DcriaSubcommittee oftheSdety and Industrial Health Committee Is reviewing the reporting procedures with member companies. This woric is .being done to provide a reportingmethod which will solicit accurate employee Injury d a ta The data stomitted for each com pany and not printed h the booklet Includes the total lost day oases, the days of restricted work activity and the ferminaiions or permanent fransfins.
