Pratt VCM Chief Operators (5) Night Superintendents (5) Hard--Lowe Chemical Co. Solvents Until further notice, the chlorinated tars in VCM will be handled by Hard-Lowe Chemical Company of Houston. The following procedure will be used: 1. When the tank level (22T19) reaches 6$ to 7 feet, Hard-Lowe will be contacted to haul tars. On day shift, Monday through Friday, VCM supervision will contact Hard-Lowe. At other times, the VCM Chief Operator will contact the Ni^ht Superin tendent who vrill contact Hard-Lowe. They can be reached by calling Houston, HU 7-0130. Mr. Russell Klehn or Mr. Monroe Sharp will handle the request at Hard-Lowe. During k-12 and 12-8 shifts and on weekends, Mr. Sharp is to be contacted at his home phone, OL ij-3$75- If no answer, phone HU 7-0130. If possible, all hauling will be done Monday through Saturday during the day shift. 2. When the truck driver arrives, he is to proceed to the VCM unit. 3efore entering the unit with the truck, the driver must obtain 3 truck entry permit from the Chief Operator of Department 22A & C. 3. The driver will then proceed to park his truck, connect a ground wire between the tank trailer and the line \shich he connects to, and connect the flexible hose to the tank trailer. After the driver has made the connection and opened the valve, he will contact the Chief Operator who will have the pump (22P32) started. The driver will watch his trailer tank level. When the tank is full, he will close the valve and notify the Chief--Operator he is through, and the Chief Operator wii' tsve the pump shut down.
