Clark - Acme DATE: November 20, 1972 LOCATION: Tigard LOCATION: Tigard During the week of November 13, I visited the Acme plant in order to make up a field trial batch of All Purpose formulated with a substitute for the asbestos fiber. For the benefit of those receiv ing copies, the use of asbestos is considered a health hazard and rigid controls are being enacted. A 2000 lb. batch of this new formula was made up with no difficulty. Subsequent lab tests indicated that the joint cement was of good quality. On November 15 Lloyd Winter and 1 took 10 bags of tnis now product to Oklahoma City for c field test. The field test was conducted by Leon Hatr.er who was described to us as being of the top three or four applicators in the Oklahoma City area and also ns bring very^qnect. Leon*8 comments on the working properties follow: 1. ` Mixed good. 2. Pinholes not bad. 3. The mud does not drop from Ames tools. 4. Gets good through Ames tools. 5. kc. iy seemed to be real good. 6.
