The First Quarter Safety and Housekeeping inspection for Power II was conducted by the Inspection Team of George Bostick, Jack Richards, Tommy Holder, Harry Robinson and B. J. Sanders on 1/29/85.
Power II received an outstanding rating.
The following items need attention:
SAFETY 1. Three utility hoses were out of date: steam hose, south side of
boilerhouse; water hose near 977P5-2; nitrogen hose north of 954B1-4.
2. Several bicycles need reflectors.
3. Wooden ladder on east side of boilerhouse needs tag. 4. Kick plate on top, north side of clarifier No. 3 needs securing. 5. Sewer cover on north side of Joy compressor needs repair. 6. Steam line in open area needs additional marking near ground. 7. Utility Station No. 10 has water line unmarked. 8. Utility Station No. 20 has two lines unmarked. 9. Hose station in EG building is unmarked.
HOUSEKEEPING
1. Ladder near 954R1-6 needs proper storing.
2. Scaffold boards at corner of Second and Center need picking up and storing.
3. Ladder on ground in plant air area.
4. Drainage problem by plant air analyzer building. 5. Unused welding machine near CR door.

.6 Temporary air compressors are parked on torn up asphalt; oil sludge
collected. Difficult to keep clean. Should consider concrete pad if we continue use of diesel compressors.
OTHER COMMENTS
1. Safety bulletin boards and statistical data looked good and were very visible.
2. Operator attitude seems good - no complaints or problems getting safety concerns taken care of.
