Thi3 letter mada particular reference to the acceptance of the metric system of weights and measures in relation to the packaging of asbestos fibre. The reply from th6 Ceneral Wanagar should point out that the test procedures appearing in the Wanual are merely authoritative standardL- testing procedures for chrysotile asbestos fibre end are not to be taken as formal stand ards accepted by the industry. / 8. An invitation has been received frem Laurentian University, in Sud bury, Ontario, in connection with a course on "Microscope Methods of Particle Size Analysis" to be held at the end of June.
