A, Kehoe, Dear Dr, Kehoe: In connectionra^gitlie supposed lead poisoning case agent for the Johnson Oil and Refining Company, we are attaching herewith a copy of a report just re ceived from our Mr, B, R, Jones, Since this report, and in con firmation of our conversation of today, died - his death causing considerable - concern on the part of his employers in that they fear legal proceedings will be instituted against them. As per your instructions, we are doing nothing further on the matter until one of your associates has made his inspection and analysis of the case and also until you report directly to us on the subject, Yery truly yours, T:R 1 This community was shocked W ed -' nesday morning, upon hearing of the I sudden death of Charles Hankey, aged I 53 years, distributor for the . Johnson jl Oil Company in this territory. - J Mr Hankey, who had been ill for the 'ij past six weeks, h ad undergone observa tion and examinations at th ` Holy I Family hospital in LaPorte, an d 1had pi been under the care of several' i>hy- sj sicians. At first he showed symptoms j of stomach trouble, which was followed ( by complications, which presumably could not be diagnosed . He wj able to be up and around some, untif about two and one-half weeks ago, when his strength left him, leaving him in a helpless condition, in which manner he remained until his demise at 3:35 a. m., W edn esday. At 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, a short service will be conducted from the late home, and at 2 :00 o'clock the funeral services! will be held at the Lutheran;' church. Rev. O. W.
