Bown, the assistant superintendent, called me at Glean and explained that their was complaining that his arm burned and wanted me to discuss t n ^ m a t t e r w i t h him. I explained to %*. Bown that I was not in a position to suggest any remedy but that I would call at their plant on Monday, January 12th and give him D r . Kehoe*s address. On Monday I called at the plant and talked the matter over wit! _ and Howard Salisbury, their personnel manager. explained that he has had a burning sensation in his arm for the pa^fcten days. I gave him Dr. Kehoe's address so that if he wishes he can have his Doctor write directly to Dr. Kehoe. is a pump and tank mechanic and once in a while he spills gasoline on his hands and arms when taking apart foot valves and check valves on the pumps. I explained that it might be advisable to have a pair of long rubber gloves and wear these, when taking apart a connection where there is danger that gasoline would be spilled on his arms. also explained that in the room where they repair the meterS"the dust would sometimes make them sneeze and cough. I later discussed this with Mr. Salisbury alone and found that they intend moving the pump room to a new location where they would have much better ventila tion.
