... we got litigious, reporting that National Association of Manufacturers and other industry groups have quietly launched a new coalition, known as the Manufacturers' Accountability Project, to fight increasing litigation by states, environmentalists and other plaintiffs to force businesses to address climate change.
In advocacy news, members of the American Legislative Exchange Council plan to vote at its annual meeting this week on whether to approve a resolution urging EPA to scrap its greenhouse gas endangerment finding that forms the basis of nearly all its climate regulations.
And our daily news roundup looked at a couple of energy tax issues, including that the Senate's tax overhaul package could significantly undercut private equity financing for wind and solar projects, as well as new lobbying efforts from coal and nuclear backers {for new tax breaks for those sectors.
