We are looking forward to your visit to EPA's Cincinnati facility on Friday, February 2. Attached please find the working draft agenda for your review and input. We are specifically interested in hearing which 4-5 science topics would be of the most interest to you to complete the agenda - a draft list is attached for your consideration, including topics that build on the expertise and capabilities of the Cincinnati laboratory. Please email comments and suggestions to me (rnatthews.nsa@epa.gov) and Amy Scheuer (scheuer.amy@epa.gov) by COB Tuesday, January 9. We have a planning call with our management team later that week.
We will meet February 2 at 8 am, wrapping up at 4 pm to accommodate your travel home the day of the meeting. We also hope you will be able to join us for a group dinner at 6:30 pm, February 1 (the evening prior to the meeting). If you have not already done so, please RSVP for both the meeting and dinner to Amy Scheuer and me at your earliest convenience, and by January 25 at the latest. A logistics sheet is also attached with more information about the facility.
As you prepare for your travels to Cincinnati, please feel free to consider staying at the Kingsgafe Marriott Conference Center at the University of Cincinnati 151 Goodman Drive, Cincinnati, OH at the government rate of $141/night plus tax.

Subject: States' visit to EPA Cincinnati - Request for agenda topics (by Dec 8)
Good morning, We are very glad that many of you will be able to visit EPA's Cincinnati research facility, Friday, February 2, 2018. We also hope you will join us for a group dinner Thursday, February 1 at 6:30 pm ET (the evening prior to the meeting restaurant to be determined).
To help best prepare for a productive visit, we would like to solicit your ideas for agenda topics that would be of the most use and relevance to your states' science priorities and needs. As detailed in the attachment, EPA's Cincinnati facility conducts research around: Water Quality (drinking water, homeland security, watersheds, etc.), Land and Waste, and Technical Support to Communities. We are glad to look into developing presentations for topics that would be of interest to your state in addressing specific contemporary environmental challenges. We also look forward to learning more about some of the big problems/science issues your state is facing, including any of your ongoing or related research in these areas. Please send your suggestions for agenda topics to Amy Scheuer and me by December 8. We will use your input to develop a draft meeting agenda for your comment and feedback.
We are finalizing hotel guest room arrangements and will send out hotel registration information later this week. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
