I shall review it with care on my return to my office after the meeting of I.M.A. in Miami. At that time I shall prepare a memorandum (from notes made to myself so as to be reminded thereby of certain pertinent matters), and also send you some literature to distribute to Mr. Kunkle and the two men in the laboratory. I had no expense in connection with the day I spent in Pittsburgh. The air transportation was covered by my expense account to the people in Philadelphia with whom I consulted on Wednesday, and because of your hospitality, there were no other charges. I don't know your wishes or intent as to charges for consulting with the people at the St, Joseph plant, but -whatever you have in mind in that matter is entirely at your own pleasure. This was an unusual situation, in any case, and I am prepared to contribute my services to the Foundation in any manner in which I can be of assistance. The only issue that is involved, as it seems to me, is that of making sure that the St. Joseph people do not take too lightly the services rendered. What comes easily and at negligible expense is often regarded as of negligible worth. I hope that they can be helped. It appears to me that they need help. Sincerely yours.
