While the OSHA Vinyl Standard does allow air-purifying type equipment (i.e. Comfo II, Gas Mask, but not mouthbit), the limitations of use make them less than desirable. Additionally, while the trigger level could be set at 5 ppm for short term exposures, we would then be faced with insuring that an employee's over-all exposure level remained below 1 ppm averaged over the work shift.
