Brown - John Lowrence, Vice-President This visit was made in response to Brown's interest for the possible purchase and resale of vinyl chloride monomer. Mr. Lowrence said they have more than one prospective customer for VC1 in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The use would be in aerosol propellant blends. Jim Baggs, Vice-President of Sales, is looking into the possibility. Baggs was in New York the day of my visit. Lowrence did not have many details, but did say the need for VC1 may be for up to 4 million pounds per year. I reviewed the quality of our product and normal methods of shipments and shipping containers with him. He said one location might require cylinder shipments, rather than tank trailer or tank car. I assured him that we will be happy to consider any requests. He felt our product quality is suitable. He didn't have customer specs yet, but said he knows water is 100 ppm max. He agreed to obtain and forward copies of purchase specs to me as soon as possible along with any other information pertinent to the possible sales. , , .Mr. Lowrence had no new information on the Avco accident with 111 RLJ/spb cc: S.
