My purpose in this may be disadvantageous to you, from a certain viewpoint, since I would hope to avoid any kind of litigation. However, in the present state of human affairs, while this is the goal, it is dubious that it can be achieved. The more likely outcome will be to provide evidence of the right sort at the right time, so as to involve you less frequently in ambiguous situations. With this accomplished for the benefit of Dr. Patterson and, indirectly. General Motors, I have done my duty, and can now be satisfied to send a bill for ray services. This is not to hasten the matter but to get it behind me before X forget all about it.
