Grumbles August 29, 1988 GSM MEETING CN FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 1988 XF: VISTA Hie meeting was held in the VCM plant conference roam. In attendance were myself, Jack Neeld, Gary Wojnowski and Joel Wilson. G&M had Jim Furr, Baton Rouge Office Manager and Jim Miller, Counsel, from the headquarters office in Dublin, Ohio. The majority of the meeting was spent clarifying our specific concerns regarding the wells P&A'd to date, and other wells of concern, specifically VEKL. Jack Neeld made it clear that well construction not meeting specs was our major concern now but we would reserve the right for claims regarding ary contamination created by the construction. G&M was invited to participate in the VD-1 plugging, once it is approved by the state. G&M expressed same concern about Layne being involved in installation and plugging. We both agreed to consider another contractor to do VD-1. Based on the discussion at the meeting, the following was decided. 1. We will send G&M the IT P&A observation report and any other relevant documents regarding the VB-1, VB-2, and VC-2 P&A. These, along with their inspection of the pipe stored at LCVCM will allow them to decide on the construction to specification question. 2. We will send G&M the draft VD-1 plug and abandon request including IT's recommendation. 3. Both of the above will be used by G&M to reach a decision on responsibility for bad construction and VD-1 participation. The decision should be made in a 2-3 week time frame. In summary, G&M made no decision on VB-1, VB-2 and VC-2, but indicated they probably would want to participate in same manner the P&A activity for VD-1. T. G. Grumbles dlj cc: W. ,L.
