Miller The above were located at 4550 West 26th Street, Chicago, Illinois- (b) Duties and Responsibilities: (1) Manager Industrial Hygiene: Solve industrial health problems by recognizing, evaluating, and controlling health hazards in all of the Abex plants. Provide the corporation's medical direc- tor with up-to-date knowledge concerning the health history of employees' jobs as to assure that workers are either properly placed in jobs according to physical capacities, or help corre- late a worker's disease or complaint with the known potential hazard of his/her job. (2) Industrial Hygienist: To identify and evalu- ate, by air sampling and observation, the poten- tial and/or real occupational disease exposures present in Abex plants, inform local and divi- sional management of these exposures, and recom- mend control measures for their elimination or reduction with the ultimate goal to protect the health and well-being of present and future work forces at their place of employment. * -24-
