TP 1--1 57 1 On April 26, 1979, I received a call from Mr. Jack Matthews, Industrial Hygienist with OSHA, concerning our recent inspection. He had received the results from the asbestos sample taken in the ' North Plant Core Room Maintenance Shop. The personal sample that was taken came out to be 0.2 fibers per cubic centimeter (f/cc). No fibers were found in the area sample and the lab detection limit is 0.08 f/cc. The 0.2 f/cc was on a sample of approximately 20 minutes. An 8 hour weighted average would be well below the standard 2 f/cc and below 0.1 f/cc which requires a Doctors examination yearly. Mr. Matthews said we would probably not receive anything in writing, except possibly two recommendations. They are as follows: 1. Proper disposal of scrap and used asbestos. 2.
