The plant was- closed for vacation, but Mr. Becker was able to contact a Mr. W. Warlen. He was unaware that Mr. Becker was going to be in Morganfield on Monday. Mr. Becker conducted sample audit of all riveted disc brake assent)lies on hand. Five--(5) different part numbers were checked and loose pucks were found in one shipment of one part number (728AD). The sample indicated that there were approximately 10% of the pieces checked that were loose. The material was date coded K which stands for'May 1979.' " A'- Mr. Becker, authorized Mr. Warlen to return the 6,000 pieces identified with this date code to the Winchester Plant for credit. He also instructed Mr. Warlen to obtain replacement parts by contacting the Customer Service Department at*Winx^hester. During the visit", Mr. Warlen contacted Mr. w. Devoe at Mr. Becker's request* Mr. Warlen indicated that Mr. Devoe had found some loose 728AD pucks in the Stephensville Plant, but could not be more specific. The casple inspection of the 55 part numbers in finished goods&aryl in in-process pool revealed some loose rivets in 3>i||i|pfche 55 part numbers. However, no loose pucks were foundfin^ this inspection. The 9 part numbers are being reworked 100%.
