September 9, 1991 TO: VI Health, Safety & Environment Committee RE: Agenda and Preparation for September 25 Meeting As a result of the committee survey done on Spill Containment, Prevention and Reporting, the nearly universal recommendation was that this item be included as part of the agenda for the September 25 meeting of the committee. Don Pearson of PPG consolidated the responses to the survey and based on his analysis and follow-up telephone conversations with many of you has categorized the survey responses into three areas for discussion purposes. Don's recommendation is that we go around the table with brief presentations on each category, followed by questions and answers (a total of three times around the table). If you need any audiovisual supplies other than an overhead projector to aid in your presentation, please let me know. Mr. Borrelli has suggested that we complete our regular agenda items by 11:3O/noon and begin the roundtable discussion on Spill Containment, Prevention and Reporting by lunch. Enclosed with this mailing is a proposal received September 5 from Clement Associates for the development of a new quantitative cancer risk assessment for vinyl chloride. As you will recall, this item was discussed at the last meeting and Joe Ledvina was asked to request Clement Associates for an official proposal for the recommended work. Please review this prior to the meeting. If you have not responded to the advance planning notice, please advise Pat Benkner at the VI office of your attendance plans. Also, if you are planning on having someone else from vour company attend this meeting, please let us know so that we can make the correct luncheon arrangements. Lastly, if there are other items you would like to add to the agenda, please let me know, so that I can prepare a revised agenda for the meeting. I look forward to seeing you in Denver.
