WITHER!DGE Detroit Department of Health May 1. 1945 To the Members of the American Industrial Hygiene Association: Since it ;has not been possible to hold.our usual Annual Meeting this year, I will try to summarize, briefly, some of the Association activities. The election of officers was held as usual and the Teller's Committee has reported the election of the following officiers: President-Elect - Mr. F. A. Patty Secretary - dr. A. D. Brandt Safety & Security Branch Office of Chief of Ordnance 333 N. Michigan Avenue Chicago 1, Illinois Directors - Mr. E. C. Barnes Mr. W. G. Hazard Mr. Wm. M. Pierce Dr. R. A. Kehoe will, of course, automatically become President of the . Association for the year 1945-46. Since the Annual Meeting would have been held on April 26, the new officers will start their term of office at this time. Following!is a brief summary of the Treasurer's Report, made by Mr. J. B. Littlefield as of May 1, 1945. Balance on hand June 1, 1944 - $1,069.29 Receipts 4- June 1, 1944, to April 30, 1945 - 2,413.51 ! Total Expenditufes-June 1, 1944, to April 30, 1945 - 1,492.32 One Serieg G War Bond Purchase - 500.00 Total Book Balance Apr. 30, 1945 Assets, April 30, 1945 (including $2000 in U. S. War Bonds Series G - less $3 in accounts payable) - $3,482.80 1,992.32 1.490.48 3.487.48 The President will appoint an Auditor's Committee to audit the books as of June 1, 1945. The Secretary reports that there is now a total of 382 members of the Association. 19 members were dropped and 40 new members approved in the last year. During the: past year, one new local section of the Association has been formed and Constitution and By-laws approved by the Board of Directors. This Section is known as the Baltimore-Washington Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Asso ciation. Two other areas are actively considering the formation of a Local Section. N 24842 E. C.
