Sox 2001 Stamford, Connecticut 06906 Dear Dr. West: We request your participation in a continuation of the audit of the vinyl chloride chronic vapor inhalation study conducted by Industrial BIO-TEST Laboratories, Inc., (IBT). Your work as a consultant to CMA will involve: Validation of exposure chamber concentrations by means of random studies of at least 10% of all G. C. strip charts. IBT informed us that G. C. strip charts are available from exposures of three test groups (at 50, 200 and 2,500 ppm) comprised of rats, mice and hamsters and a fourth test group at 2,500 ppm comprised of female rats only. Upon completion of your validation studies, you will submit to CMA a report fully documenting your professional findings and opinions concerning the accuracy with which these exposures were conducted and recorded. For the services requested, and upon receipt of an itemized invoice, CMA will reimburse you in an amount not to exceed $3,500. If these arrangements are satisfactory to you, please sign and return the enclosed copy of this letter.
