Webster Subject: Training - Hazards of Vinyl Chloride < h- 2 t*- * j 5 ' Cs t The new OSHA regulation on "Exposure to Vinyl Chloride" requires that "each employee engaged in vinyl chloride or polyvinyl chloride operations shall be provided training in a program relating to the hazards of vinyl chloride and precautions for its safe use". Responsibility for this training rests with you, the first line supervisors in operations, maintenance, laboratory and distribution. To help in this training, a slide program lasting about thirty minutes has been prepared which covers all the required aspects. You should as soon as con venient arrange to show this program to employees you supervise who are r gularly assigned to work in the regulated areas. The area maintenance supervisor should arrange also for the training of plant maintenance personnel and contract people who regularly perform services in the area. The slide program and necessary projection equipment are available from the Training Division, Extension 492. Deadline for training all necessary personnel has been set for June 15, 1975.
