exhibit b Secretariat of ASTM Committee E-15 on Analysis and Testing of Industrial Chemicals Authorization for the Association's furnishing the Secretariat of ASTM Committee E-15 on Analysis and Testing of Industrial Chemicals expires December 1, 1972. The Committee has requested continuation, and the staff recom mends extension for another two years. The Committee is providing a valuable service to the chemical industry since it is the primary means through which standard methods of analysis are being developed applicable to inorganic and organic industrial chemicals. To date, over forty tentative and standard methods have been validated and accepted. Many other methods are under development. The Committee now has 86 active par ticipants representing 40 chemical companies, including all the major firms of this country. A unit of Committee E-15 serves aB the advisory body to the American National Standards Institute for their ballot on all methods of chemical analysis under the jurisdiction of the International Standards Organi zation Technical Committee 47 on Chemistry.
