BLOOD TESTS - EMPLOYEES POTENTIALLY EXPOSED TO FC-143 (DSI-WI W. C. Haaf-B. W. Karrh 3/17)
Employees who have jobs where there is potential for exposure to FC-143 should have periodic blood samples to determine their blood concentration of FC-143. We have recommended these determinations be done as part of each periodic physical examination for those employees working jobs where the potential for exposure is the greatest. Our experience has shown that the F&F "Teflon" operators had relatively low blood FC-143 levels and low potential for exposure. Based upon these factors, Medical Division recommends that blood FC-143 determinations be routinely done on these F&F "Teflon" operators as a part of every other periodic physical examination.
Please continue to provide Medical Division an opportunity to review these data as the tests are reported.
