She plans to bring a small photo copier with her to copy our employee record card. In view of our movement of people at ALTC and the broad title descriptions, we plan to go through our employee record cards and mark them major, some, and minimal exposure as suggested by B.M.G.Zwicker in his note of September 9> 1973. We will also attempt to note major exposure to other chemicals. Dr. Gaffey also wants to know if terminated employees were alive at the end of 1972. He suggested they could contact these people only if we don't object. Ms. Hofflett will bring an example copy of the letter they would send to these people. Wearsch uusjECr Avon Lake Technical Center \^HKGoodricl DATE TOUR LETTER DATE THIS LETTER Oct. 9, 1 Epidemiological Study at Avon Lake Technical Center (Vinyl ChJoride) On September 26 and 27, Ms. Hoffleitt of Tabershaw-Cooper Associates visited the Avon Lake Technical Center for the purpose of compiling personnel record data relative to employee exposure to vinyl chloride. All personnel data pertaining to active, inactive and deceased personnel were made available to Ms. Hoffieitt. She made microfilm copies of records of all these people going back to 10 years in history. A vinyl chloride exposure determination based on three major levels of ex posure had been made prior to Ms. `Hoffleitt*s arrival. The three levels of exposure Indicated in the three categories were Major (200-600 ppm), Some (50-199 ppm) and Minimal (0-50 ppm). Using this criteria, the Active personnel estimated time-weighted averages were derived on the person*s total work years at the Center, rather than on each individual job location.
