Our walnut growers recently reached out to my boss regarding Kasugamycin's registration. They're concerned about the possibility that PRIA is going to make a date change for the registration of this pesticide by the EPA, which would be the fourth time the date has been changed (previously changed in 2012, 2015, 2017). This date change would make the material unusable for the upcoming 2018 season. Ideally, it would need to registered by January for growers can have access to it in March. California DPR has reviewed the additional data requirements and has approved its usage on walnuts and cherries. In addition, this material has been registered by the EPA on pome fruit since 2012.
