W. B. AREY Amateur Champion of North Carolina in Singles, Doubles and All-Round Wins North Carolina Championships for Third Consecutive Time 'T'HE State of North Carolina has a perennial amateur- champion in W. B. Arey of Salisbury. Arey took a strangle hold on both the Single and Double Champion ships in 1925 and has refused to let go. He won the two events again in 1926 and repeated this year at Pinehurst, breaking 190x200 in the singles and 43x50 in the doubles. In 1925 Arey also carried off the All-Round Championship, thus making a clean sweep of the state championships. And this year He dupli cated the feat, his winning score in the 1927 high general average event being 281x300. Arey shot his first registered target in 1923, the year he broke into the championship class by finishing first in the doubles at the North Carolina State Shoot. All his wins have been with the well-known U. S. Climax Shell. As Arey's string of wins proves, U. S. trap-shells are dependable in the full meaning of the term. The old reliable Climax or the newer Defiance-- both are good shells, mighty good shells. UNITED STATES CARTRIDGE CO. Ill BROADWAY NEW YORK, N. Y. Reprint from Sportsmen's Review, June 1$, 1027
