Dear Dr. Thompson:
. .
' "
''
Xhave completed the electron optical examination for chiysotile requested in your letter of 6 June 1975, Six samples were examined bearing designations CPS-206-1 through CPS-206-6.
The samples were prepared for examination by our standard technique and then
examined utilizing our EMMA-4 unit.
.
While thin fibers (< 0.05 pm ) were present in the samples, none of these proved to be chrysotile asbestos but rather were amphiboles in nature, nor did I detect larger fibers consisting of bundles of chrysotile fibrils in any of the samples.
' Thank'you for consulting McCrone Associates. 4 s always, if you should have apy questions regarding any of this report's contents, please do not hesitate to call.
Yours sincerely, ^
