Dick Unwin called today about the meeting in Washington with Gallagher on the paint situation.
Unwin strongly urges that this first meeting with Gallagher be an industry association type of meeting at which only L.I.A. and the N.PV.%A. be participants. You for L.I.A. and Montgomery and Brown from N.P.V^.A. Dick Hunt should not be present but Unwin
thought that he could be of some help in contacting Montgomery and Brown and if you wish, Gallagher, to set a mutually convenient meeting date, hopefully in mid-July.
Following this meeting and after you get a feel as to what
the Government position might be, then individual companies could be
brought in for a later meeting, if this is found to be desirable
or necessary.
^
Unwin suggests that you call Hunt on Tuesday, July 6, and touch base with him.
