Varnishes and lac quers are produced at Milwaukee, Dayton, Detroit. Newark and Los Angeles. Linseed oil mills are operated at Red Wing, Minn., and Newark. N. J. Paint and other brushes are produced at Baltimore. Md. and Keene, N. H. Alkalis and other chemicals are produced at Barberton, O. and through a subsidiary. Southern Alkali Corp., at Corpus Christt.
