Ranks as one of the leading producers.of paint, varnish, lacquer and brushes, which are sold in large quantities to automobile companies and other industrial consumers as well as for general trade purposes in paint ing of new houses and in home rehabilitation. Chief raw materials of this division are lin seed oil and other solvents, colors, metallic pigments, etc.

Plate glass lrom the Creighton and Crystal City plants is used in the fabrication of the com pany's safety gloss. Window glass factories arc located at Henryetta. Okla.; Mount Ver non, O.. and Clarksburg, W. Va.
Paints are manufactured at Milwaukee, Wis.; Detroit. Mich.; Newark, N. J.\ Portland, Ore., and Los Angeles, Cal. Varnishes and lac quers are produced at Milwaukee, Dayton, Detroit. Newark and Los Angeles. Linseed oil mills are operated at Red Wing, Minn., and Newark. N. J. Paint and other brushes are produced at Baltimore. Md. and Keene, N. H.
Alkalis and other chemicals are produced at Barberton, O. and through a subsidiary. Southern Alkali Corp., at Corpus Christt. Tex.
Other activities include a cement plant at Fultonham, O.; the manufacture of dry col ors. insecticides, fungicides and seed germ disinfectants at Milwaukee; coal mines at Creighton, Pa.; sand mines at Crystal City. Rio.; limestone quarries at Zanesville, O.; gas properties and gas lines at Ford City. Pa. and clay properties at St. Louis, Mo. In addition, approximately one hundred warehouses are
operated for the distribution of products and afto retail stores selling glass, paint, etc. Re search laboratories are located as follows: Glass at Creighton, paints at Milwaukee and chemicals at Barberton,
